Loonie Stamper Challenge #12 - Love Blooms

It took me a while to get to the Loonie Stamper Challenge #12 but I got it done today. The colors were picked by Maria. When I saw them I thought they were going to be easy....was I ever wrong. All the Loonie girls seemed to be able to get that red in there so I was thinking why is this so hard for me. I really had a hard time incorporating the red in with the Sweet Blush and Berry Sorbet. But I finally thought..."think small" and decided to use one of my most favorite buttons!! I think I've only used one of them before on a card. I just love them so much it is hard to actually give them away (I'm such a bad horder!!). So, I'm sure this heart on the branch idea is something I saw in multiple places but I could never remember. In fact, it kinda reminds me of THIS tag I made a while ago. Thanks Maria for a great challenge. Make sure you check out all the other Loonies' and their awesome creations: Jewels Dee Char Regan Wendy Supplies: Stamps: Take a Bough, Wedding Day, Favor It Weddings (all Papertrey Ink); Ink-Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet (Papertrey Ink), Chocolate Chip (Stampin' Up!); Paper-Select White, Berry Sorbet (Papertrey Ink); Other - Swiss Dot Dark Chocolate (Papertrey Ink), heart button (Theresa's Hand Dyed Buttons), red and white baker's twine (Martha Stewart). Thanks for dropping in! Donelda

This is beautiful, Donelda! And I'll let you in on a secret: I had such a tough time with my own challenge that I didn't finish my card until an hour before I posted it. Yep...picked the details @ 3weeks in advance and then regretted that red!!! I was cursing myself this week!!!

Hi D!! You took the words out of my mouth~~~that red was killer. I think that's why I couldn't stand my first card~~that red ribbon with all that Berry Sorbet....yucko. Your card is amazing. I have never seen the heart used for the leaves before. That is brilliant! I will have to remember that for Valentines day which seems like it will be here in no time. Seriously...is it really November??!!!!

What a cute card! I really like the ribbon you chose; it's a nice neutral against the brighter pinks and reds. Looks like you are already ready for Valentine's day!
