Yeah, it is time for the 6th smARTworks Tea Party Challenge. This time it was my turn to set the challenge. I wanted to do something a little different so I picked Circles!! The challenge was to make a card using circles in some way.... a circle card, circle images, circle embellishments, whatever, just as long as the card involves one or many circles in some way!!
Well, if any of you know me, I love circles and once I start using circles, I get "stuck" on circles LOL.
So, to celebrate the tea party, I made this card using Dina's awesome three step stamp called Daisy Trio #2. I love it! and to pay tribute to one of my favorite "Dina techniques", I added this scrap strip bottom to my card.
Of course, once I started making "circles" I couldn't stop so here are a few other cards I made that incorporated circles in some way!
I LOVE this fishing stamp set!! I wanted to try using it with a monochromatic card and also with a sponged "sunset" card too! I'm not sure which I like better!!
circle card. Notice the vellum used in the middle of the card, I have "colored" it much like Susan did last week on her card HERE. Instead of using ink pads, I like to color my vellum using oil pastels and an oil. You just scribble on the oil pastel color of your choice (I used a sky blue here) and then put some of the oil (I use Japanese Mint Oil) onto a cotton ball and spread the color all over the piece of vellum. It is so much fun making your vellum a color that fits with the theme of your card.
You have to go see what the other Design Team Members did:
Don't forget to play along. Make a card that uses Circles in some way and then just leave any team member a comment with a link to your card!! Have fun!!

Very nice cards! I always learn some new trick from the blogs I read. Dina's Scrap Strip Technique is fun and helps satisfy my "waste not - want not" mindset. It looks great on your card.
Wow, you've been busy! I love the colors on the "strip" card, and the fishing cards are both great. I particularly like the sunset one.
Fabulous cards...I'm not even going to try to pick a fave...I love them all. Thanks for the vellum tip, too. I'm definitely going to give that a try!
I love your smARTworks card. Great daisy stamp, and I love the way you used the strips of paper (great way to use up some scraps too). The silhouette of the boy fishing . . . wow, that is CUTE! I love your colors there, too. Lovely, Donelda, as always. :) kel
Wow! You really went circular! And such a variety of styles! Can't pick a favorite because I like them all.
Super pretty card Donelda!! All of them are great.
God bless
