Alcohol Inked Leaves

I love using my Alcohol Inks from Ranger but I can't seem to make the colors very "intense". I saw a great card a few weeks ago that was made this same way....but the colors on that card were so much more intense that this turned out.
See the leaves on the inked panel....they have just green ink on them (lettuce I think). They were embossed, then I covered the whole panel with multiple ink (being careful to not get any where the leaves were) and then went back in and inked the leaves, carefully using the bottle.
If anyone out there knows what I need to do to make my colors stronger, please leave me a comment. Maybe I should give ole Tim a call and see if I can a demo!!! Wouldn't that be cool!!

Supplies: Cardstock-Glorious Green, Sahara Sand (Stampin' Up); Ink-Versamark, Chocolate Chip (Stampin' Up); Images-background leaves from Lovely as a Tree and Fantastic Foliage (both Stampin' Up), sentiment is from Mixed Messages (Papertrey Ink); Other-metal tape (unknown), linen twine (Stampin' Up), floss (DCM), circle punch (Stampin' Up), Alcohol inks in Meadow, Cranberry, Butterscotch (Ranger).
Thanks for visiting,
Donelda

I love the technique, Wiggy. I am sure your will keep at it, until you get the colors you are looking for. Good luck. In the meantime, I think these rich colors would make a terrific guy card.
