Ooops, sorry I didn't upload sooner. Today is a holiday in Canada and I guess I just kept thinking it was Sunday!
My adorable nephew's birthday is coming up. If you are a frequent visitor, you may remember THIS project. That is Aidan's sister. After this, I still have 2 more siblings to go! That makes for lots of fun.
The frames I found for $1.50 at the local Fields store in their clearance section. I knew I could do something with them.
I love the Ahoy Matey! set from Stampin' Up. The images are so darn cute! I colored these all in using a watercolor brush and my ink pads. I love that way of coloring! The white confetti frame on the top right says "giggle". I added that because Aidan has the best giggle in the world. The pirate hat is an embellishment I found at my local Dollar store (I love a bargain!). I don't have permission to use his picture on the internet so I covered it up - which is too bad cause you should see the cute picture under there!! Sorry!
The letters were printed out on my computer in mirror image on the Chatterbox paper and cut by hand. Then I distressed them a little to go with the pirate theme!
Supplies: Paper-Whisper White (SU!), Patterned Paper (Chatterbox); Stamps-Ahoy Matey (Stampin' Up); Ink-Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Buckaroo Blue, River Rock, Basic Black (all Stampin' Up), Other-Pirate hat charm (dollar store), ribbon (orange is Making Memories, blue is unknown), metal confetti (Making Memories), frame (bargain bin), letter font (free download from unknown site), computer, sponge.
Well, thanks for visiting. You'll be sure to see 2 more of these projects over the coming months!!
