I am starting on a new adventure...I've decided to see how much fun Altered Books are to make. I have decided to go with a tag theme since making tags are so much fun.
So I had made this tag a little while ago but then today when I checked Caardvarks, the challenge is to make a tag that is inspired by a month of the year. Well, this tag is totally a July tag -- those hearts are just like ripening fruit on a tree, don't ya think??!!
I started out by stamping the branches and leaves, then I used clear embossing powder on them. This allowed me to brayer over them with Broken China Distress Ink by Ranger. Then I cut out and added the hearts. I stamped and embossed the Love, cut it out, sponged the edges with more Broken China, then attached it with dimensionals to add a bit of depth. I also sponged around the whole tag with some ink too.
Stay tuned as I will occasionally post some insights to my Altered Book adventure.
Supplies: Paper-Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa (Stampin' Up!) red (Bazzil), Ink-Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi, Ruby Red (Stampin' Up), Broken China Distress Ink (Ranger); Stamps-Take a Bough, Mixed Messages, Beautiful Blooms (all Papertrey Ink); Other - Ribbon (Making Memories), 1/4" hole punch (SU!), Dimensionals (Making Memories).
YIKES!!!! As I am typing up this post I have realized that I've lost that leaf stamp!! It is not in the CD case with the set!! Where in the blazes is it....I may never find it in this mess of a craft room. I'm off to make a sign telling my husband to NOT VACCUUM in here until I find it! Drat, it's one of my favorite sets!!!! I have to find it!!
Thanks for visiting.
