I have decided to try and play along with a few challenges. I really liked the colours on this one at Embellish Magazine. But then, when I sat down to create ... it took me forever to pull together a card!
Thanks for visiting.

The most recent challenge going on at Embellish Magazine is to use FABRIC. Yikes, I don't have much of that laying around so I had to really look for something. I found an old blue canvas bag that I recieved as part of being at a conference. Truth of the matter is I will never use the bag ... so I cut it up and cut out this circle!! LOL!! The colors are also very bold and bright, not my typical style so this took some work!
Over at Embellish Magazine, the challenge is to use these yummy colors!! How could I ever resist??
So I only have a few select colored brads (I generally use metallic colors) but luckily I had at least 1 of each of the colors for this month's Embellish Magazine color challenge.
Supplies: Stamps - Giga Guide Lines, Around and About Sentiments (both Papertrey Ink); Ink - Enchanted Evening (Papertrey Ink), Versamark, Summer Sun (Stampin' Up!); Paper - Enchanted Evening, Pure Poppy, Leaf Green (Papertrey Ink), Whisper White (SU!), yellow (scrap); Other - brads (Dollarama), dimensionals.
Thanks for dropping in!!

Note: this is 1 of 5 posts tonight!! Please keep scrolling down to see all the work I have done entering different challenges. I was just on a roll and kept going!!!
This was the challenge for the Dec. edition of
You should pop over. They have had a few color challenges with the most amazing color combo's!! Really fresh combos and twists like polkadots and circles!!
The most recent challenge is to use these colors and create a circle shaped card. These colors are NOT ones I would pick on my own {reminding myself that the whole idea of a challenge is to do something that is different}. This is the card I ended up with. It is definately growing on me. I folded the green textured cardstock and used my coluzzle to cut out the circle. Then I added the colored strips and sentiment. The butterfly is actually stamped onto acetate with StazOn, painted with a light green paint and then adhered to the card with a glue dot. The stitching and the butterfly trail are faux stitching!!
Supplies: Stamps-Butterfly(Rubber Stampede), Beautiful Blooms (Papertrey Ink); Cardstock - mint green (Bazzill), Spring Rain, Select White (Papertrey Ink), brown (scrap); Ink - Chocolate Chip (Stampin' Up!), Jet Black (StazOn); Other - Coluzzle, acetate, paint and brush, Chocolate Chip marker (Stampin' Up!).
So, have you made a circle card lately?? It has been a while since I have so this was just the challenge I needed to get around to it....snort, hehe, get it!!
Thanks for dropping in!!
