Take 3 - Week of June 20 - part 2

Welcome back to "Take 2" of this week's card set.  Today's card took a loooooong time to create.   I stamped and colored the flowers two times, cutting aroudn those tiny guys on one of them to be able to curl the petals and glue them on top.  I've added a second image so you can see how awesome it looks (and besides it took so long, I wanted to make sure everyone saw it!! sheesh!!).

And check it out, I actually scored the base of the card .. been meaning to do that for a long time!!

Thanks for dropping by.  Make sure you pop in tomorrow to see the "third take" on this image ... it is so different from these first 2 cards.

Birdie Cards

These 2 cards were made using some of my smARTwork stamps.  They come from a set called Birdie Fun and were designed by Dina from Mama Dini's Stamperia ... such a great artist and card maker!  Note that the little 'Celebrate' sentiment from the green card is from Mixed Messages (Papertrey Ink).  I had seen a card somewhere with a similar bird that was outlined with grey.  It reminded me of these birds so I decided to pull them out and play!
While you can't see it in the photo, there are score marks around the white main image of the red card.  It finishes off the card nicely.  You also can't see the grey outlining the birds (on both cards) but it is there...really! The patch of grass on the second card is made with Copic markers.  The ribbon is unknown but the black button is from my Papertrey Ink black button package.

Hope your day is going well.  Thanks for stopping by!  Leave me a comment so I know you are out there :-)

Christmas Gift Card Holder #2

Here is my next Christmas Gift Card Holder.  My friend really liked this color combo - it was fun to create something Christmassy with them!

Supplies: Flourishes (Inkadinkadoo), sentiment from Take a Bough (Papertrey Ink); True Black twill (Papertrey Ink), black crochet yarn, dimensionals, Score Pal (see the scoring around the edge of the green paper!).

Have a great day!

Delicious Apples - CAS 82

I had this idea running around and around in my head all night long for the Clean and Simple challenge #82 over at SCS.  I had to get up this morning and make it before heading out to work.  Now I'm going to be late but that is okay ... I'm kinda waiting for the FROST to melt off my car windshield before I have to go scrap it!!  Sheesh, frost on the 31st of August!!!!

I dropped the cranberry alcohol ink onto glossy paper and then moved it around with a can of air!  (so much fun!).  Then I stamped the open apple strategically on top.  Originally I had planned to use only 1 apple but I liked all of them so picked the best 3 and added them to the card.  Then I colored the leaf and stems with Copics.  Finally, I have been meaning to do some scoring (I've had my Score Pal since Christmas and haven't "thought" to do it yet!!! sheesh!!) so I added scoring lines above and below the apples and again at the bottom of the card.  A simple thinking of you sentiment finishes the card!  Good, clean, and simple!!

Supplies: Stamps-TEahcer's Apple, Beyond Basic Borders (Papertrey Ink); Paper - Kraft (SU!), glossy paper; Ink - Jet Black (Ranger); Other - Alcohol ink, Cranberry (Ranger), Score Pal, Copic markers (YG03 and E44).

Hope you have a "Delicious" day!!

Blog Hop - May

Hi everyone! Here is my entry for May's Blog Hop hosted by Papertrey Ink. Nichole wanted us to try use scoring on our cards. HERE is a list of all the blogs to check out. Of course, I don't own any of the fancy tools like a Scor-Pal. Just my handy dandy Fiskers cutter and a Pampered Chef scraper.

It is a little hard to see the scoring so I added a close up here. I did some "stitched" scoring around my little hoppy frog!! There are also some stright scored lines around the outer edge of the card as well. The frog is stamped, cut out, and popped up on dimensionals.

Supplies: Paper-Whisper White, Wild Wasabi (SU!); Ink-Wild Wasabi, White craft, Black (SU!); Stamps-Pond Life, Polka Dot Basics (Papertrey Ink); Other-Fiskers cutter, Pampered Chef scraper, black pen (Zig), dimensionals (Making Memories).
I know it is simple, but it was fun to make and I was hoping to inspire everyone with the STITCHED scoring :-) Now, off to check out everyone elses' great ideas!!
Thanks for visiting.
