Recycled Birthday Card

If you follow my blog at all you will know how much I love to recycle!!  Lately, I've been on a real Kleenex box recycling kick.  There just seem to be so many great images on the boxes these days!!

When I saw the box in our bathroom with these animals on it, I knew I'd have to create something with them.  Sometimes the hardest part is waiting for the box to get empty!!  LOL!  The animals were all nicely tucked into the colored boxes so I just had to cut them out, ink the edges and adhere them to the card.  The senitment is done with white embossing powder and comes from the Around & About Sentiments set (Papertrey Ink).

A great card for a child's birthday!!
Have you recycled lately????

That´s fantastic, Donelda. It doesn´t look like recycled pictures. Really great. And the stripes are funny..,black, red, gold....the Germany Flag...LOL

Donelda, this card turned out awesome. if you had not told me, I would not have figured out that they were recycled images. Really neat. I know what you mean about waiting for the kleenex to over!!!

What kind of embossing ink and powder did you use for the sentiment, I have problems embossing sentiments that are so tiny.

This is brilliant! Currently, the "cute" kleenex boxes go right to the kids in my life... but I'm going to keep this idea in mind.

What a great idea. I agree there are a lot of lovely images on the kleenex boxes just waiting to be transformed.

Banu, my white embossing powder is just whatever is sold at Michael's. I try to remember to use a dryer sheet on the cardstock before stamping with the Versamark. As well, I try to keep my Versamark really juicy which might help. I've heard you get what you pay for with embossing powder so if yours is pretty inexpensive it might just be poor quality. Sorry I can't be any more help than that!
