Moxie Fab Challenge - Cure For the Winter Blues

Just squeezing this Multi-Blue and white card in for Moxie Fab World's challege - Cure For the Winter Blues.

It features another one of my home-made stamps - 'Military Chevron' stamped in rows using various shades of blue.  The whole overall design was stolen borrowed from Jennifer McGuire's card shown in THIS POST.  I accented the whole thing with some white feathers, apaper flowers from American Crafts, a paper flower (from my stash) and a few half pearls scattered around.

I love working with feathers!

I love, love, love these embellishments from K&Co.  Anything with feathers makes me smile!!  And the 3 squares are made using a sticker (from Making Memories) placed on double sided adhesive and then the rest is coated with that awesome teal glitter!  More smiling!

Blocks and Feathers

I created this card in an attempt to use up some of the many scraps I have.  I went through my pile and pulled out various shades of pinks, browns, and reds. 

I love adding feathers to my cards.  The sentiment will go on the inside of this card.

Clean and Simple Feather Card

I LOVE feathers!! And I've decided that I should use them more often on my cards. Here is a card that I made a bit ago that includes 3 beautiful brown feathers!! Where did I get them? In a bag at Michaels ~ there were no birds injured in the making of this card!! LOL The card is clean and simple. A Chocolate Chip card base with More Mustard on top. Along the bottom is a strip of designer paper that matches the mustard and some Au Chocolat paper too! There is a stirp of leather tied across the top of those feathers and a few buttons added! Finally, finished off the card with a happy birthday sentiment (my favorite!!). I think this could easily be a masculine card. Supplies: Papers-Chocolate Chip, More Mustard (SU!), Au Chocolate (SU!), Yellow Polka Dots (unknown); Stamps - Father Knows Best (Papertrey Ink); Ink - Chocolate Chip (SU!); Other - Feathers, buttons, leather strip, corner rounder. Hi Birdie Friend

I love this guy!!! I've had this awesome bag of feather's pulled out and thinking that I really wanted to make something with them!! I didn't have any stamp sets with birds in it big enough that would accommodate the feathers...so I needed to put on my thinking cap. But then, I was browsing Kristina's blog (kwernerdesign) I came across these fun little birdies and I knew I'd have to use this great idea!! I drew a similar bird on paper and then used it as a guide to cut the orange fabric. It is that warm fabric that you can make stuffed animals and hats and such with...I can't remember what it is called just at the moment! Anyway, after cutting out the bird, I selected just the right feathers for the tail and a wing. I glued them into the fabric using some Crystal Effects (SU). Then, as it dried, I worked on the rest of the card. I attached the strip of orange plaid and brown cardstock onto a Creamy Caramel base. I stamped the sentiement with Chocolate Chip ink. See the dots of the letter i's ... I wanted something funky so I used those double circles!! Finally, I attached the bird, drew in his eye and feet and Voila, he is ready!!!
