Hello!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Today I am uploading a picture of this journal cover I just finished. I took advantage of a video tutorial from <a href="http://www.nathaliesstudio.com/cjs/creative-jumpstart-2014/" target="_blank">Creative Jump Start 2014</a>. The label is created using the Joint Compound idea from <a href="http://dinawakley.com/" target="_blank">Dina Wakely</a> ... that was a ton of fun!! And I used joint compound on the whole book cover, then stamped it with a harlequin image. Then I went to town with my Twinkling H2Os by <a href="http://creativeimaginations.typepad.com/luminarte_paints/" target="_blank">Luminarte</a> and a few acrylic paints. The H2Os give it a great sparkle in real life that do not show up in this picture. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Twinkling H2Os are one of my favourite products! And there is a give away ... so I am totally crossing my fingers!!! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxDiNrU-LQAO0jI8TmbU07DGGVzQ4_dHtDuz5UnS0Ado_N1g6R6Blf5BH30OLdxQpktK_CVqXo-ExZKkvR1va3_DNW0Fy9aQDPS_ZbwDMVU5jEh1A8QdhDwwR0ZuIq_kElDbUwh9ewGrQ/s1600/CJS+-+Journal+Cover+with+various+techniques.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxDiNrU-LQAO0jI8TmbU07DGGVzQ4_dHtDuz5UnS0Ado_N1g6R6Blf5BH30OLdxQpktK_CVqXo-ExZKkvR1va3_DNW0Fy9aQDPS_ZbwDMVU5jEh1A8QdhDwwR0ZuIq_kElDbUwh9ewGrQ/s1600/CJS+-+Journal+Cover+with+various+techniques.jpg" height="320" width="210" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used some grungeboard "hinges" (Ranger) that I painted dark brown and then covered with some rock candy crackle paint (Ranger). The clock face and key hole images are from smARTworks (who I see are now closed). You might also note a neat little addition ... snaps ... the ones you use to keep skirts closed. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Well, off to play more in my art journal!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hello!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
There is so much going on at <a href="http://www.nathaliesstudio.com/cjs/creative-jumpstart-2014/" target="_blank">Creative Jump Start 2014 (CJS)</a> that it is hard to keep up!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Today I am posting some pictures of my favourite art project of 2013. It is an art journal page I made. It uses a few favourite things, first, my stamps. I started out with stamps and I love them so I try to use them as often as I can in my art journaling. Some products that are also on this page is moulding paste (you can see that on this page I stamped my stamp into some moulding paste!) and varnish (which I used to stamp the same image using the varnish ... which acted like a resist as more layers went on). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZddGbaywIZJDvaUfw-zdnqYORSwWX_Pdt8ibY4kBsiX077Gghpf8Il24s4USwo8qyV4IfHGfoCXa3mUrxqwxCy25yBHVg5KLwFwtFOVEgJCufNKCFSbu9CQqgcFpYnpMuaehut_NuYSs/s1600/CJS+-+favourite+art+journal+page.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZddGbaywIZJDvaUfw-zdnqYORSwWX_Pdt8ibY4kBsiX077Gghpf8Il24s4USwo8qyV4IfHGfoCXa3mUrxqwxCy25yBHVg5KLwFwtFOVEgJCufNKCFSbu9CQqgcFpYnpMuaehut_NuYSs/s1600/CJS+-+favourite+art+journal+page.jpg" height="266" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is a close up of the stamp pushed into the moulding paste.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguk-4H9gmhXLhDCesJ0uYyheCNYcPS1sk5-xpMqAXqO_bzoAKg1Ig1bkQx0lRao6SGxhKn-8nlNNXiRl-CKlJ0u8572Axzd-SfTw0gQcnrbkl9RlrgOdryWAPqUjYhxsS7IbGf3Aan1iE/s1600/CJS+-+favourite+journal+page+-+close+up+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguk-4H9gmhXLhDCesJ0uYyheCNYcPS1sk5-xpMqAXqO_bzoAKg1Ig1bkQx0lRao6SGxhKn-8nlNNXiRl-CKlJ0u8572Axzd-SfTw0gQcnrbkl9RlrgOdryWAPqUjYhxsS7IbGf3Aan1iE/s1600/CJS+-+favourite+journal+page+-+close+up+1.jpg" height="320" width="211" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And here is a close up where you can see the varnish resist image .. at the bottom left and a bit in the middle right. It has the orange colour coming through which resisted the darker blues placed over top. </div>
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
One of my all time favourite pages using some of my favourite tools and products! So much fun. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Okay, off to make another page. </div>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hello. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is another page I made using a <a href="http://www.nathaliesstudio.com/cjs/creative-jumpstart-2014/" target="_blank">Creative Jump Start 2014</a> video for inspiration. This time,<a href="http://balzerdesigns.typepad.com/balzer_designs/art-journal-every-day/" target="_blank"> Julie Fei-Fan Balzer</a> was encouraging us to use household items with gelli prints. Well, I don't have a gelli plate nor the typical deli paper ... but I improvised. The resulting paper I used to cut out these feathers and added them to a background. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiERhgmcTJe9k6auDM2xVWl0xytHk2GhfiQZzXRrYuy_3EAQKFtzG5wOcU34gsR_-VCeWdgGJiXHvVg9i5Av9bG6k_M7sYyB2U7yMu8dhzpPPuUiDAVyWCm1T_ldgyOQioyUA1UaDq7k8Y/s1600/Fly+Away+Feathers+-+CJS2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiERhgmcTJe9k6auDM2xVWl0xytHk2GhfiQZzXRrYuy_3EAQKFtzG5wOcU34gsR_-VCeWdgGJiXHvVg9i5Av9bG6k_M7sYyB2U7yMu8dhzpPPuUiDAVyWCm1T_ldgyOQioyUA1UaDq7k8Y/s320/Fly+Away+Feathers+-+CJS2.JPG" width="204" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The background was made with Gelatos (Faber Castell), acrylic paints, rub-ons (Basic Grey), and spray (home-made). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Tons of texture on those feathers because the paint I used to "gelli print" started to come off (had to put gel medium all over the top to keep the paint from flaking off) my faux deli paper! LOL! and then when I adhered it to the page with my Golden Gel Medium, it went all bumpy .. but I love the results! Items found around my house used to create the "faux gelli print" included a paper tube, plastic fork, and a meat tenderizer rolling pin. I also did some stamping on the "faux gelli print" with the paper tube and a text stamp. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7B_k3f3vAdZI2RnRKKvQ2XD3uVYmZvmtbnAWZM-q6-RaARxRAlPA9wfA3h9DhO6jCdsAtvkcX68muZW-shBnxkE7FtZ5B__w1qNlv-zRw9UaHCfAhLdXHzpzetE8PzKXEqkhrDBvq4Qc/s1600/Fly+away+feathers+-+CJS2+-+close+up.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7B_k3f3vAdZI2RnRKKvQ2XD3uVYmZvmtbnAWZM-q6-RaARxRAlPA9wfA3h9DhO6jCdsAtvkcX68muZW-shBnxkE7FtZ5B__w1qNlv-zRw9UaHCfAhLdXHzpzetE8PzKXEqkhrDBvq4Qc/s320/Fly+away+feathers+-+CJS2+-+close+up.JPG" width="212" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Having fun with CJS 2014 and it is definitely feeding my creative juices! </div>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
HI! I have signed up for <a href="http://www.nathaliesstudio.com/cjs/creative-jumpstart-2014/" target="_blank">Creative Jump Start 2014</a>. So far it has been lots of fun and very inspiring! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The overall theme is using household objects in your art. What fun! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In one of Natalie's first video's she encouraged us to use a very interesting household object to create cool texture ... like I did here! Curious .. sign up for the course and find out what made this awesome design. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When making it, I used <a href="http://www.liquitex.com/basicsgesso/" target="_blank">Liquitex Gesso</a> spread over the entire page, then used the household object to create partial circles of awesome texture! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJjYPKJMpQL3pwCPSN8wvngNb980n27FEalhOVk-eo0nXmtZs_LAmk51JRyPddz2zw98183AkwuGmZR7g8v8Zub_Y5mJP1LiZbxhxEDUDPJ6fexXbuS9nvyNW4ctvamLbFVP9MC7rHtaM/s1600/Fly+journal+page+-+CJS1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJjYPKJMpQL3pwCPSN8wvngNb980n27FEalhOVk-eo0nXmtZs_LAmk51JRyPddz2zw98183AkwuGmZR7g8v8Zub_Y5mJP1LiZbxhxEDUDPJ6fexXbuS9nvyNW4ctvamLbFVP9MC7rHtaM/s320/Fly+journal+page+-+CJS1.JPG" width="202" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Added home-made sprays and <a href="http://www.paperwishes.com/products/4005978&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=gelatos+gift+set&utm_content=Gelato+Colors+Sets&utm_campaign=Hot+off+The+Press-+Gelatos+Crafting+Canada?gclid=CNDhy5X0-bsCFepaMgodp28AqQ" target="_blank">Gelatos</a> for colour. Then collaged a bit with some bits and pieces in my stash. I really like how the bird turned out ... it is cut from grungeboard (Ranger) then painted with more Liquitex Gesso, then stamped using more of the turquoise home-made spray. The brad was rusted (followed <a href="http://www.france-papillon.com/" target="_blank">France's</a> technique) and then some white spray added to it and more of my turquoise home-made spray to look like patina. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgta6E1D1PBjo5u6w7QKBbJTL3xjBm58QKZ9h2XfQXFIV98IFf-RrgH9Zwc5WyfCOH6gPmwBNVxWqIDZmTIGF2PW14zvGfWfgwmw-oZWAl6JRSz9fQyb6812mEv1Nz6y5x-0TQvSmCtPu4/s1600/Fly+journal+page+-+CJS1+-+close+up.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgta6E1D1PBjo5u6w7QKBbJTL3xjBm58QKZ9h2XfQXFIV98IFf-RrgH9Zwc5WyfCOH6gPmwBNVxWqIDZmTIGF2PW14zvGfWfgwmw-oZWAl6JRSz9fQyb6812mEv1Nz6y5x-0TQvSmCtPu4/s320/Fly+journal+page+-+CJS1+-+close+up.JPG" width="227" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So much fun. I have so much more to share. Stay tuned! </div>

Hi!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://mixedmediaplace.blogspot.be/" target="_blank">Mixed Media Place</a> has a challenge running where they want us to <a href="http://mixedmediaplace.blogspot.be/2013/12/what-are-you-feeling-co-czujesz.html" target="_blank">use the emotion "calm"</a> and create with it. The first thing I thought of is sitting in my living room early in the morning with all of the Christmas lights glowing softly. It is so calm and soothing. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, here is the page that came from that feeling. Painted the background. Stamped woodgrain image using darker paint. Added wood panels (walls) with a home-made stencil and coloured modeling paste. added more dark colours to the bottom corner then painted my tree branches. Added "light bulbs" to the branches with their soft glow. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added some journaling with a white gel pen to the bottom right page after taking the photos.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

My page started out being totally covered by gloss varnish. I wanted to see if having such a smooth surface would allow paint to move across it in an interesting way. Turned out fun but not quite how I had imagined. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used black, white, and turquoise acrylic homemade sprays. Then I added some red accents. I love this cute image available at Stampotique. </div>

Hello. I am back. I have taken a VERY LONG vacation from uploading to this blog but now I am back. And, as you will notice, I have shifted, yet again, my passion. These days I have been dabbling in art journaling. I love it and it allows me to work through and manage the stress of a busy life. I still do some scrapbooking and the occasional card, but I will likely be posting about art journaling more than anything else. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Today, I am uploading this page I created for the <a href="http://www.nathaliesstudio.com/2013/12/15/whatevers-round-2-6-or-undercover-cross-dressing/" target="_blank">Whatevers Round 2 #6</a>. If you have not heard about it you need to go check out Nat Kalbach's blog and read about it. I think it is a lot of fun and have played along before but never uploaded until now. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Had so much fun on this page. Started out with splats of distress stains, added script stamping, then lemon zest ink spray from Dylusions. Added some modelling past over the Mini Tiny Circles stencil by Balzer Designs. The stencil had leftover red ink on it which ended up making a cool colour pattern on the modelling paste!. A bit of brown distress ink and some turquoise paint splatters finished off the background. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
All of the additional paper embellishments are from a Kaiser Craft package called Tigerlilly. I also added some strips of fabric that had white gesso added. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Off to do another page. </div>

I was so inspired by <a href="http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/projects/videos/1904868-glitter-girl-adventure-062-mix-match-materials/">Glitter Girl's adventure #62</a>. She challenged us to create a page that mixes product from several collections or manufacturers. So, I pulled out my papers. I started with that increadible floral paper from Crate Paper and used the colours from that to find my other papers. They included the yellow paper from Lawn Fawn, the dark pink from My Minds Eye, the blue and grey paper from Lilly Bee (which didn't make the final cut but was replaced by a blue paper from BasicGrey), and the light pink gingham (which I do not know the manufacturer since this sheet was sent to me from a friend). I had also pulled some green vellum but didn't end up using it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiP3MFkEUmiI5LGDEQ3LGw0w-ONQx0XARKEcomQWNwztQG2lEzxk688ABzaZlD9yRLoiLcVEejxa2yCMaZdPZbORlnRTdIzTv49akp80zmmmy3My5NC7MHXvXi89kmLmDvoURGycV7H7iw/s1600/Bottled+up+-+starting+papers+from+various+manufacturers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiP3MFkEUmiI5LGDEQ3LGw0w-ONQx0XARKEcomQWNwztQG2lEzxk688ABzaZlD9yRLoiLcVEejxa2yCMaZdPZbORlnRTdIzTv49akp80zmmmy3My5NC7MHXvXi89kmLmDvoURGycV7H7iw/s320/Bottled+up+-+starting+papers+from+various+manufacturers.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next, I looked for some embellishments and pulled some from the new Lucky Charm collection (American Crafts). I am pointing to one of the mason jars but ended up using the other yellow one wiht the heart in it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Also used some of these cut apart journaling tags form Amy Tangerine's Yes Please collection. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I picked an assortment of letters and ended up using the light pink from BasicGrey and the small turquoise from Lilly Bee. </div>

Here is my final page. So much fun pulling it together. And it was featured on the scrapbooking site: My Scrapbooking Art site that you can see <a href="http://www.myscrapbookart.com/blog/?p=2201#comment-491">HERE</a>. The post was about the mason jar trend ... guess this layout fits right in!</div>

Today's layout is very special. It is a layout that includes pictures of my brother and his wife with their first grandchild. It is so precious for me to see! I really struggle to call him "papa" but having fun with it since he is quite a bit older than I am! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am adding this layout to Glitter Girls challenge (at 2peas) to <a href="http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/projects/videos/1901393-glitter-girl-adventure-061-work-your-weakness/">create a page using the things you are drawn to</a>. Well, any of you who know me know that I am totally addicted to beautiful designer paper. I have so much of it! Recently I purchased the new Yes, Please (Amy Tangerine for American Crafts), Lucky Charm (Dear Lizzy for American Crafts) and Maggie Holmes paper (by Crate Paper) paper packs and I am determined to use them and not hoard them like I usually do with my favourite papers. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, here is a layout made with the first page from Yes, Please. Look at all that colour! Delish!!</div>

Hello! I have a new scrapbook page to share with you today! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This page came together for a challenge from 2 peas. Dear Lizzy challenged us to <a href="http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/projects/videos/1901003-in-the-mood-to-scrap-today/">use a painted ombre technique</a>. If ombre is new to you, it means "dark to light" and is very popular right now in the scrapbooking world. I love it! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For my ombre, I pulled out my twinkling H2Os. Love them. I used watercolour paper and cut it into 4 strips. Painted the colours being sure to make them dark at one end and light at the other. This became the bottom portion of my layout. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiWQEVdwk0Yj70-YAiLQ8HS1lZKNeg2EHt1K2GRc8TSCXNuiUWu6Zc3KaytpfBj3nWW5X7AqzvU9oM0FWBP4jA6UMDMeBzJ3sewY2fSfto0sTxNqoBHHoiUGsBbfJw7FV4huxqNnipVls/s1600/My+Buddy+-+ombre+challenge.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiWQEVdwk0Yj70-YAiLQ8HS1lZKNeg2EHt1K2GRc8TSCXNuiUWu6Zc3KaytpfBj3nWW5X7AqzvU9oM0FWBP4jA6UMDMeBzJ3sewY2fSfto0sTxNqoBHHoiUGsBbfJw7FV4huxqNnipVls/s320/My+Buddy+-+ombre+challenge.jpg" width="244" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then I added my 3 black and white photos (isn't he the cutest!) and a whole bunch of black and white embellishments! I really like that swirly flourish at the bottome - it is from the For the Record sticker sheet (Lilly Bee). </div>

Why don't you give ombre a try?! Either use one of the many products already out there with this effect (papers, stickers, tags, brads, etc.)... or create your own like I did! If you do, I'd love to see it! Leave me a link. </div>

Hi! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Another scrapbook page. It is, obviously, about playing cards. Love this background paper from Graphic 45. Those are real little mini cards that I 'aged' by using alcohol inks. Had to use those because the cards have that glossy coating.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
All the suite shapes are stamped (small set from Studio g) and cut out. </div>

This page was started out by spraying some glitter mist over a home-made chevron mask onto this cloud backgroud paper. The end results wer cool. It even got published on <a href="http://www.myscrapbookart.com/blog/?p=1928">THIS site</a>. </div>

The page features my husband and son on their ski day. I had planned to go too, but was sick. I really like the colours - the blues, greens and a touch of pale orange. </div>

Remember how I am trying to not spend money but use what I have. Well, I am always so tempted to purchase all the great labels that different companies sell. But I don't and instead, I created my own labels that you see here using my circle and rectangle stamps from Papertrey Ink. </div>

Hello. Using another one of <a href="http://www.shimelle.com/">Shimelle</a>'s sketches (<a href="http://www.shimelle.com/paper/1680/sketch-to-scrapbook-page-simple-designs-for-patterned-papers-on-the-diagonal/">sketch 5</a>) as a starting poing in my scrapping. This one was quite difficult for me and has taken me a while to finish. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8tkhCuu8SlALmBsBOOKYOa1RimjNKdC-Or4COi5bd-cO-TwEtkiG6MrnY_tHtF1bpdexXm8aiYJOUOP3BXrfeshv2WS1HY_RXX-T3RgBVzJrTJB_okitHgq4yySY4jZPXI0_D2WyOrLo/s1600/2013+shimelle+-+sketch+5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8tkhCuu8SlALmBsBOOKYOa1RimjNKdC-Or4COi5bd-cO-TwEtkiG6MrnY_tHtF1bpdexXm8aiYJOUOP3BXrfeshv2WS1HY_RXX-T3RgBVzJrTJB_okitHgq4yySY4jZPXI0_D2WyOrLo/s320/2013+shimelle+-+sketch+5.jpg" width="311" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As you can see, I stayed very true to the sketch. I used this Basic Grey paper and because it is so busy (the browns) I decided to keep the rest fairly clean and simple. </div>

Hello again! Today I have a scrapbook page to show you that I love! I don'tI usually love my pages and typically feel like my layouts look so 'novice' compared to the awesome Garden Girls and other great scrappers. However, this project was so much fun and I think it turned out awesome in the end. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It was made in response to <a href="http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/projects/videos/1888452-video-in-the-mood-to-scrap-l-o-v-e-with-wilna/">Wilna Furstenburg' Mood to Scrap</a> challenge to use the impasto paint technique. This is a technique where you put paint on very thickly like you can see <a href="https://www.google.ca/search?q=impasto&hl=en&rlz=1T4GGNI_enCA498CA498&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=UlkpUePDK-mWjAK6y4GIDg&ved=0CAoQ_AUoAQ&biw=1366&bih=641#imgrc=llIcp-yqg4fk2M%3A%3BGbHIj5KHo9zhZM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Ffarm1.staticflickr.com%252F133%252F354166652_fe6d4e253c.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.flickr.com%252Fphotos%252Farnisto%252F354166652%252F%3B500%3B500">HERE</a>. I thought it was a real challenge .. which tends to inspire my creativity the most. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnSUw61rT0J93cMHYZiSEfpRc9U8vNU8Qm_1uWaWhHW4IdC5C1DdrnN6LaKcg50Cx_tnhifmnabZ9HUrdeFgMTOHTVtQu59HYRUChMlsh5PYKptmpJY-AFW33-Iy6Jlp47BqN8fcPw3eE/s1600/Birds+eye+view.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnSUw61rT0J93cMHYZiSEfpRc9U8vNU8Qm_1uWaWhHW4IdC5C1DdrnN6LaKcg50Cx_tnhifmnabZ9HUrdeFgMTOHTVtQu59HYRUChMlsh5PYKptmpJY-AFW33-Iy6Jlp47BqN8fcPw3eE/s320/Birds+eye+view.jpg" width="242" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I started out by stamping this Stupendous image onto watercolour paper. Then I layered the paint on - thick! It was so much fun! I also did some watercolour painting on the rest of the page. I also like how that turned out and might need to try that one again. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used my hobby knife to cut out parts of the painted image to slip my photos and some embellishments behind it. I totally used the second layout in this Glitter Girl video seen <a href="http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/projects/videos/1848651-glitter-girl-adventure-032-instant-inspiration/">HERE</a> as my layout inspiration. </div>
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What fun! I love when there is a challenge that is really 'out there'! </div>

Welcome back! Dropping in to share another layout. I must say, I am enjoying getting back into scrapbooking SO MUCH!! I am sleeping better at night too - which is always a bonus. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
One of the scrapbookers who is really inspiring me is Shimelle. This layout was made in response to her challenge - to use fabric on a layout. See that apple print ... it is fabric! The colours were perfect for this layout about my son building his own computer! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used my new Mr. Heuy's blue mist, so popular these days. However, I've got to say, I am not keen on the all white background. I tried it here ... and not all that happy with the final results. </div>

Hi everyone. I've been scrapbooking again. I can't tell you how happy I am to be back at scrapbooking. And the creative outlet is so good for me!! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is a page I made about my son's 13th birthday party and his friends. The faces are blurred out as I don't have permission to share their images online. Respect!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Did lots of distressing on this one. It just was required when using those papers!! </div>
<br />
<br />
Papers are from the Industrial Park Collection by Scrap Within Reach (excellent boy papers!).<br />
<br />
Stamps - finger pointer is from Purple Onion Designs, circles are from Boarders & Corners {Circles} from Papertrey Ink, Chinese Man is a stamp I made myself, small letters are from Simple Alphabet from Papertrey Ink. <br />
<br />
Title sticker is from the Note to Self element sticker page by Echo Park and the 'Don't Ever Forget' sticker is from the Alpha Sticker page from the same collection (again, great boy colours in this collection .. if only I had the papers!). The numbers 1 and 3 are from bon bon coloured teensy type stickers by Doodlebug Design. <br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Don't you just love my little chinese man??!! He took a bit to carve but I think he turned out pretty good. DS was pretty impressed so that means a lot. It's a funny saying that he and his buddies say these days ... want to scrap it so he can remember it when he is older! </div>

Sorry! I haven't been a very good blogger these days! Life continues to be busy. I continue to do what I can and keep this fun. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Today I have another page that I created using one of <a href="http://www.shimelle.com/">Shimelle</a>'s starting points as a ... well, starting point. You can see here blog post <a href="http://www.shimelle.com/paper/1674/scrapbook-starting-points-subtle-patterned-backgrounds/">HERE</a>. This is the starting point that she wanted us to use. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEio0GDCuuvlXYNy0cCotoPQkjMA8_XG4HrY8c0BvnkD84svsMwDp8otdouJMJyxXpJzvOwe62_PDeFRSjg6lfvab-LPbVdZPGtQAr61FZUYNqfoJmA6F5gjwALFSQfaJ3UlHelK3iptfQU/s1600/scrapbook+starting+poitns+-+subtle+patterned+backgrounds.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEio0GDCuuvlXYNy0cCotoPQkjMA8_XG4HrY8c0BvnkD84svsMwDp8otdouJMJyxXpJzvOwe62_PDeFRSjg6lfvab-LPbVdZPGtQAr61FZUYNqfoJmA6F5gjwALFSQfaJ3UlHelK3iptfQU/s320/scrapbook+starting+poitns+-+subtle+patterned+backgrounds.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have messed around with it a bit. I have turned the whole thing 90 degrees and the red square is actually smaller than the vellum piece. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRw3iJs6amoFhVuYzULMPQRlNwbnl9Yt76XhgAbWxJ_8JS6a7Njk1LReoWoYz7r5p3FTY8cVawdp-NevkA5tZdbdIKb8UwN3IxKyI6Mh69vAqMVz7ZlU4yPnoxQExI7HH1jE-TI1MZWco/s1600/You+Can+Teach.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRw3iJs6amoFhVuYzULMPQRlNwbnl9Yt76XhgAbWxJ_8JS6a7Njk1LReoWoYz7r5p3FTY8cVawdp-NevkA5tZdbdIKb8UwN3IxKyI6Mh69vAqMVz7ZlU4yPnoxQExI7HH1jE-TI1MZWco/s320/You+Can+Teach.jpg" width="244" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In addition to using Shimelle's starting point, I also borrowed some inspiration from one of her guests - Corrie Jones, who did a great <a href="http://www.shimelle.com/paper/1675/five-ways-to-use-mists-on-a-scrapbook-layout-by-corrie-jones/">guest spot on Shimelle's blog</a> talking about different ways to use mists. One of her ideas was to use mists to paint. I used some electric blue (Tattered Angeles) and Silver (Tattered Angels) to paing large stripes across a piece of white cardstock. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPg3nmCwy0kA3QgoB6UMAaFwRZVtWbACOsBkspYYOHso0L40yR6jWSrfdLa3tZEXeKANTv11iCZEqpQl3-V7186e63ZOnBLDaV82HGGRo_F_AjgXxoWnFd8XFJ7STT_dymsYOXOYuLzjo/s1600/You+Can+Teach+close+up.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPg3nmCwy0kA3QgoB6UMAaFwRZVtWbACOsBkspYYOHso0L40yR6jWSrfdLa3tZEXeKANTv11iCZEqpQl3-V7186e63ZOnBLDaV82HGGRo_F_AjgXxoWnFd8XFJ7STT_dymsYOXOYuLzjo/s320/You+Can+Teach+close+up.jpg" width="212" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The page is about me taking skiing lessons for the first time. Yup, being 44 is not going to stop me from doing all kinds of things. And I learned that you really can Teach an Old Dog New Tricks!! LOL!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am off to link my page up on Shimelle's blog. You should come and play too! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I am a huge <a href="http://www.shimelle.com/">Shimelle</a> fan (and a<a href="http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/projects/videos/the-adventures-of-glitter-girl-video-series/"> Glitter Girl</a> fan too!). I visit Shimelle's blog often and was excited to see she had a challenge up called Scrapbooking Starting Point. She started with this basic layout and added her own photos, title, and embellishments. She wanted us to start at this point in the process, forget what she did and just do our own thing! Awesome idea!! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKDm2G06KxLCZ7UInn8Q1fwq165IzFKa8-8i4w2MZQhAH2nkwMNqq4ZunhJHs871E-RVM6SHpzWb636mjKcrDHujFuae1yURBnZqNo6EbiRaG-U30Ut_XR-A71FCaemVhK_HeSIZe-WiY/s1600/scrapbook+starting+point+by+Shimelle.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKDm2G06KxLCZ7UInn8Q1fwq165IzFKa8-8i4w2MZQhAH2nkwMNqq4ZunhJHs871E-RVM6SHpzWb636mjKcrDHujFuae1yURBnZqNo6EbiRaG-U30Ut_XR-A71FCaemVhK_HeSIZe-WiY/s320/scrapbook+starting+point+by+Shimelle.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had to give myself a few days break to actually forget what Shimelle did (or try to forget) so that I wouldn't just copy her overall finished result. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In the end, I scrapped these photos of my son playing his guitar when we were camping. I chose bright colours for my patterened papers (all BasicGrey)! The arrow-like stamp ... that is one I created myself! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYViAeWEO9wJ-SHCnA_KQtZPvNnO28B1QhYtJV66ofvWZvRAd1lw2hIdUVP5d8mLbcoGQ2y_H8H7YoK9GjoZUp0_Q0uaL31-qMfIVIJWX-5v0ZJCBCggfTzcYrAr0vQ9_kiYnUUzZ9tUQ/s1600/You+Rock.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYViAeWEO9wJ-SHCnA_KQtZPvNnO28B1QhYtJV66ofvWZvRAd1lw2hIdUVP5d8mLbcoGQ2y_H8H7YoK9GjoZUp0_Q0uaL31-qMfIVIJWX-5v0ZJCBCggfTzcYrAr0vQ9_kiYnUUzZ9tUQ/s320/You+Rock.jpg" width="252" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
While Shimelle always uses stickers for her title, I decided to go with stamps and used jibber jabber from Alley Way Stamps (stamped with Walnut Stain ink by Ranger). I also used the ticket stamp from the Miss Caroline set by My Minds Eye (with Fired Brick ink by Ranger). And see that brown circle with the embellishments - it is actually a postage circle stamp from French Country Postage by gel-a-tins. I like it alot because it is not a perfect circle but has imperfectios. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggxHI7pR4VCPrLyM4DS2rsTy8qKe7bIWXUfN5ULMqHAhCpehdxVS6_YVs0JNn-1F_c3KI6gGpRpvGNCAbdwRF1oYcDBBO7X71DbYo0izsrPSnZqxJX74am8745aqo0MLiXSh41qXYvBvY/s1600/YOu+Rock+-+close+up+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggxHI7pR4VCPrLyM4DS2rsTy8qKe7bIWXUfN5ULMqHAhCpehdxVS6_YVs0JNn-1F_c3KI6gGpRpvGNCAbdwRF1oYcDBBO7X71DbYo0izsrPSnZqxJX74am8745aqo0MLiXSh41qXYvBvY/s320/YOu+Rock+-+close+up+1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
To finish the layout, I added a few blue heart brads to my 3 embellishment spots as well as a few green brads at the top right and bottom left corners. I spattered on some Mr. Huey's Dark Calico color mist (that is becomming a favourite of mine!) and drew some brown lines around the edge of the cardstock to finish off the page. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hello and if you are returning, welcome back! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Today's layout is made for a challenge at 2peas - to use Christmas products on a non-Christmas page. This was rather easy for me since I only own 1 Chrismas paper collection (Holly Jolly from My Minds Eye - a few years old) and had already pulled out the papers that could be used for everyday crafting! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, this layout uses all papers and tags from the Christmas line. I added in buttons from my stash, letter stickers (My Little Shoe Box) and rub on letters (American Crafts). Also, I want to use my stamps as much as possible on my layouts so I pulled out Flourished (Papertrey Ink) and stamped it using Walnut Stain ink (Ranger). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFVWqAG-EFW4DIef3JQupnXc_PzXtAwDmPBLkJi7Mr_FURDrcWVt2-yUE4SPWuONKkDqI0l5NWYgyM_aocIeAo4EH_qnZNjDaeA03a-UNYrYolsKaYGjfc_NBGGrzl7bb-GoatEvA1R7o/s1600/She+Loves+You.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFVWqAG-EFW4DIef3JQupnXc_PzXtAwDmPBLkJi7Mr_FURDrcWVt2-yUE4SPWuONKkDqI0l5NWYgyM_aocIeAo4EH_qnZNjDaeA03a-UNYrYolsKaYGjfc_NBGGrzl7bb-GoatEvA1R7o/s320/She+Loves+You.jpg" width="241" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A close up of the title. You can also see where I sprinkled some Mister Huey's color mist (Dark Calico - Studio Calico) around the stamped images. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGfPWsEhJYWVeNWmcrwB7bWq2vy9BEyJbwrjCrbI9ydl_EfxuYvClmFkm934wvm6pWCWoVqxHS1d8t6qK9WXK8vh2fjy06yVrhjL6b6QqU6edMBbHMPvUXc6MADumVUsaRUWAcnWcNG7c/s1600/She+Loves+You+close+up.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGfPWsEhJYWVeNWmcrwB7bWq2vy9BEyJbwrjCrbI9ydl_EfxuYvClmFkm934wvm6pWCWoVqxHS1d8t6qK9WXK8vh2fjy06yVrhjL6b6QqU6edMBbHMPvUXc6MADumVUsaRUWAcnWcNG7c/s320/She+Loves+You+close+up.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So that was a real fun challenge. </div>

Hi all! </div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div align="center">
I was able to make another page for one of the challenges going on over at 2 peas. This time the challenge was to use a 4 word title. That made it easy. I wanted to scrapbook about my son who is growing up ... but yet still just my good old crazy kid whom I love so much! </div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</div>
<div align="center">
I used some of my new products I ordered from 2peas. I know, I said I wasn't going to buy new stuff but use the stuff I have... but what I've discovered is that the products I had for cardmaking don't necessarily work well for scrapbooking. So, I HAD to buy some basics!! <br />
<br />
Supplies: Papers - Fourteen collection from Crate Paper, Basic White from BasicGrey, black polka dot paper is Making Memories; Stamps - Lovestuck by Amy Tangerine; Punches - all but little heart from Martha Stewart; Tag from gloves we bought our son for Christmas (I love to recycle!). <br />
<br />
I am really enjoying getting back into scrapbooking again! I have another page made as well which I will load up soon! <br />
<br />
I have some requests for cards as well so I will be blogging them soon.<br />
<br />
Thanks for dropping by. <br />

A few weeks ago I was checking out my stash of scraps and die cuts and found a bunch of wonderful die cut flowers one of my former Secret Sister's had sent me (that's you Linda!). I pulled them all out and set them aside so that I could use them. Well, today I am showing you the project I made with them. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPA5uNM2Ll0HofmQKcswEbO8Ee9CDpMWLxzjx62yqdIHM6nLimb8mjZ2SdtCuCwjaUZnwITVLQ8P_YbehpON-o1-svTH5q8ZJXmYY_KFFGZTmAmpj6ELZgieTC8IqB4sX4t7cGJ-LCnqA/s1600/You+and+Me.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPA5uNM2Ll0HofmQKcswEbO8Ee9CDpMWLxzjx62yqdIHM6nLimb8mjZ2SdtCuCwjaUZnwITVLQ8P_YbehpON-o1-svTH5q8ZJXmYY_KFFGZTmAmpj6ELZgieTC8IqB4sX4t7cGJ-LCnqA/s320/You+and+Me.jpg" width="252" /></a></div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div align="center">
I started out by adhering all the flowers to white cardstock. That was inspired by<a href="http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/member/466053-leanne-allinson/1789024-h2o-boy/"> THIS</a> awesome layout by Leanne Allinson at 2Peas and a Bucket. Then I added stamped leaves (Turning a New Leaf, Papertrey Ink). Then the addition of the little heart and word Love (Wedding Day, Papertrey Ink). <br />
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6_5A_sYMCxusH3dXBTOjc531xl1wsXdny2p1X_HuGJm4jkHad6laawPuk18YD7ssqTt5S9b_BbI1opTUfRFNMd1aIp1gWOr78D_7KMaBERl_GAb6rqAWXcn6eELx5D3QEB06PHkBk4y0/s1600/You+and+Me+closeup.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6_5A_sYMCxusH3dXBTOjc531xl1wsXdny2p1X_HuGJm4jkHad6laawPuk18YD7ssqTt5S9b_BbI1opTUfRFNMd1aIp1gWOr78D_7KMaBERl_GAb6rqAWXcn6eELx5D3QEB06PHkBk4y0/s320/You+and+Me+closeup.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div align="center">
The overall layout and focal image was inspired by <a href="http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/member/36052-scrapnic/1827813-stand-out-studio-calico-may-kit/">THIS</a> layout by Scrapnik on 2peas and a Bucket.</div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div align="center">
I stamped more leaves on the kraft cardstock. Added various strips of cardstock (stamped with little lines or large chevron by Recollections sold at Michael's). The circle doily is from Martha Steward. I pulled out some rub-ons to use (butterflies-Maya Road; decorative strip - BasicGrey) and that with the letters (EK Success) make a black triangle. The amphersand is from Picadilly collection (BasicGrey). The little kraft pocket that holds the journalling is from Recollections. The white lacey trim is a die from Linda again (thanks Linda, I kept being able to use all the wonderful things you've sent me!). <br />
<br />
Okay, so I like it ... but what is it about good scrapbookers ... their projects look so awesome and mine just looks so novice ... sheesh!! </div>

Hello. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you are unaware ... Winter CHA is happening this weekend. What that means is new supplies coming to an LSS near you. But not for me (or at least I am going to try to withstand the temptation). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What it also means is 2Peas is running <a href="http://twopeasinabucket.typepad.com/two-peas-in-a-bucket/2013/01/cha-winter-online-social-challenges.html">online challenges</a> where you can win if you upload layouts or cards based on the challenge. I get if I win ... so I'll be entering!! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For today, I wanted to scrap by sons room as it is now that he is 13. A long time ago, I scrapped his room when he was just little. While some things are the same, there is a lot that is different as well. I think it will be cool for him when he is older to look back and see what was in his room. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The 2peas Challenge I am entering this layout into is the <a href="http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/userblogpost.asp?id=67747">Select 7 Diffrent Patterns challenge</a>. That is right ... use 7 different patterns on your layout. I can hardly believe it but I did. All come from the Lime Rickey Collection (BasicGrey). That made it a bit easier. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is a close up of the title. Large letters are also from the Lime Rickey collection (BasicGrey) but the little letters are black on clear squares from Recollections (sold at Michaels). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also used a rub-on (the All Mine circle at the top left corner of the verticle photo) and it is from Sampin' Up! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0wfyti3YWtfZ7gCgSNaVbuaNt396WmJgUSnNZSOPBPoaKD4ag2h54P1_ro9l85z5QycJua5GFvcpk6UqRzbiR0T0r3Fdbbm5ymZC59NOxnOn3BF-3bIaM1hM1cZXe-OS6jMyZSkHLv54/s1600/Your+Room+at+13+Yrs+-+close+up+b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0wfyti3YWtfZ7gCgSNaVbuaNt396WmJgUSnNZSOPBPoaKD4ag2h54P1_ro9l85z5QycJua5GFvcpk6UqRzbiR0T0r3Fdbbm5ymZC59NOxnOn3BF-3bIaM1hM1cZXe-OS6jMyZSkHLv54/s320/Your+Room+at+13+Yrs+-+close+up+b.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I must say, I am enjoying the creative outlet of scrapbooking again! I am trying to be brave and just cut into all my beautiful paper .. to use it up. I have an agreement with myself .. if I use it all, I can buy new stuff again. No better way to motivate myself!! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hope over to 2peas and see what is going down at Winter CHA. If you want to see video's showing some of the new products you can check it out <a href="http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/projects/videos/more-from-the-two-peas-team-video-series/_cha_/">HERE</a>. </div>
