One Layer Wednesday (OLW) 70 - Red and White

So, Susan posted the One Layer Wednesday Challenge #70  - Red and White!  It would make sense for this to be a holiday challenge but that was not required ... so I did this ...

Essentially it is a one layer card since there is no extra layer on top of the card!!  The sentiment is stamped ona  white piece of cardstock adhered to the inside of the card.  I almost stamped it in black ... which would have been a 'no no' according to the challenge!!  LOL!!

But in my effort to use up my scraps better, I took the heart and made this card which does have black and a second layer ...

There, valentine cards completed for my boys!!  :-)

Hope you are having a good weekend!

Your first card is brilliant, Donelda -- way to add some dimension but still keep it one layer. ;) The second card is beautiful, too. What a pretty, ornate border. (Nice embossing on the heart, too!)

Both cards are just gorgeous! I do like the aperture on the first card and the faux stitching around the heart! I think you use of the heart scrap is just brilliant - very elegant!
