Today's challenge at SCS is to make a Flap Fold Card (Try a New Technique #161). It looked like a fun new fold so I decided to give it a try. For directions, follow the link I've included above.
I've had this awesome Making Memories paper for a LONG time and I've just had a really hard time finding a way to use it. Part of the problem is that I've not had cardstock that matched close enough to the colors in the paper. However, I've just recently bought the Soft Subtles cardstock multi-pack from Stampin' Up and realized that 3 of the colors match the colors in this paper - green, blue and the pink. So, I pulled it out to use it for the base of this card!!!
I used my Provo Craft scallop scissors to cut the circle of Celery cardstock around the circle image and flap!
Overall, I kept the whole thing Clean and Simple!! The stripes certainly took center stage. I am waiting to hear if a co-worker had her baby this past holiday weekend. I think this card will be workable for either a boy or a girl!!
Thanks for visiting.
