Crafty Creations Challenge #164 - Flocked Pussywillows says Spring

Hello and welcome back to another Crafty Creations Challenge.  This week Digital Delights us sponsoring out challenge.  Our challenge #164 is to celebrate spring with some green/buds/blossoms/grass.  I opted to go with buds ... Pussywillows to be precise.  This image from smARTworks is my favourite to pull out at this time of year!

The pussywillows are 'flocked' with white ... they are soft and fuzzy in real life.  Unfortunately hard to tell in this photo.  I also used my new Distress Stain in Tumbled Glass (Ranger) for the background.

Now you need to go visit Crafty Creations Challenge Blog to see what all the others did for this challenge.  Then link up your own card or project for your chance to win!!

One Layer with Flocking

The latest challenge Susan R. threw at us is to make a Clean and Simple card that is a One Layer Card andthe addition of flock.
Well, I only have 2 colors of flock sent to my by the sweetest friend of mine, Jessica (Hi Jessica!). One is white and the other is a bright royal blue. So I decided to go with the blue.
Supplies: stamped image Giga Guide Lines, sentiment First Fruits (both from Papertrey Ink), Ink - Brilliance Jet Black, Paper - Whisper White (Stampin' Up!), other - Glue Pad, blue flock.
I am going to head over to Susan's blog to see what everyone else decided to do with flock and CAS.
thanks for visiting.

Christmas Card Reveal Countdown - Day 11

This little stocking stamp was a freebie I got from my local scrapbooking store. It was one of the "free with purchases over $35.00..." kinda things. Well, who in their right mind wouldn't spend $35.00 so that you could get a free stamp??!! You can bet your bottom dollar that I made sure my purchase was at least $35.00 .... heheheh!! I really wanted to try a different color combo (I tend to really stick to traditional colors) so I colored the stocking in pink with my Copic marker. Then I added some white flocking to the top of my stocking -- lots of fun!! Other stamps: Take a Bough, sentiment - Rustic Branches (both Papertrey Ink). Thanks for dropping in today. I hope you come back to see all the other cards in my countdown!! Donelda

Thank You Jessica

A very wonderful person ~~ Hi Jessica~~ sent me a great goodie package at Christmas and it included some blue flocking.
I wasn't sure what I would do with it until I saw a beautiful box at Michael's that swirls in brown flocking on it. I knew I'd have to give it a try. Next problem, how to make it stick?? I remembered reading an add for The Essential Glue Pad and figured that was the ticket but it was no where to be found around here. Until a few weeks ago, I was in my LSS and there it was sitting on the shelf!!
Ultimatly, the card is not my usual style but it was so much fun! Flocking is not for the weak at heart -- it is messy stuff and I do need lots of practice getting it to stick better!!
So Thanks Jessica for the wonderful flocking (and all the other goodies that came with it too)!! I have a bunch of other projects that I have floating around in my brain!! You will see them in the coming weeks for sure!
Thanks for visiting.
