Ahoy Matey! SS Supplies

I have recently been in a swap over at Splitcoaststampers where we have a "secret sister" who sends us all sorts of wonderful images and supplies to create cards.

It just finished and I am so lucky to have had Linda as my secret sister!  She sent me the greatest things!!  Today I decided to pull out all the goodie bags and dive in to play.

Here is one of the cards I created.  Isn't this image just the cutest!!   Linda sent the image, some Papertrey Ink designer papers (the red here), and some solid Papertrey Ink cardstock (the blue here is Spring Rain) in this package.  There are so many supplies that I will have lots left to make many more cards after this one!

I loved how the boy is so dissheveled so I decided to do some tearing to the bottom of the designer paper.  I also added the sentiment and the anchor image on the card base from the Papertrey Ink set called Out to Sea.  I kept it very clean and simple to try to keep it fairly masculine.

The image is colored with my Copic markers.  I tried a new technique today with the shadow on the ground.  I have seen it somewhere else and really likedt he look.  You simply take a few markers of similar color and use dots to create shadow.  Not sure if I did it right but I think it looks okay.

I created some more cards too but I will save them for another day!
Thanks for stopping by.

This is adorable, that little guy is so cute! I love pale blue and red together. Your dotted shadow looks great, I want to try that.

Great creation, Wiggy! You make that "dot" technique look easy and this card is just so cute!
