Chevron Stripes

Cath over at Moxie Fab World is going on and on and on about the latest trend ... you've sure to have seen them ... chevron strips!!

Well, I had seen the challenge to make a card with them just before checking out Nichole Heady's blog and saw the card she created with that little thing strip of cardstock ... and I said to myself "I could do that for the chevron challenge".  And voila, a card is born!!

I chose a rainbow of colors and carefully used my pinking shears to cut tiny thin chevron strips.  Now, it may sound easy but let me tell you .. IT IS NOT!!  I definately got better as I went.

Stamps - Round and Round (anniversary set from Papertrey ink)

Thanks for dropping by and for sharing your comments about my work.  Off to see what other brilliant ideas were used for this challenge.

So pretty. This card could easily be used as masculine or feminine. Very pretty colors and love the medallion.

WOW, perfect CAS card. Like the stripes. How did you glue them ??

I can totally see where those chevrons (aka zigzag stripes?) would not be easy -- you have to line up the cuts on each side! You did a great job with them, and with the whole card!

So clean and fresh looking! I love the rainbow and the medallion, and how you made your own chevrons, instead of going shopping for a stamp {like I would have done!}
