A Moo or Two - Easter

When I saw the latest challenge for the Moo or Two site I knew I needed to pull out this smARTworks set!  It is my favorite for Easter cards! 

Here are my moos.  I stamped the images onto kraft cardstock and then colored them in using my Prismacolor pencil crayons!  Not sure why but I love to do that with these images becuase the bunnies are so fun to color in white!  Added a few strips of designer paper.  The swirls are a Memory Box stamp a bought a few years ago and seem to forget about!

Off to see what everyone created for the last challenge (too bad I was away - script would have been fun!) and for this one so far!

Make a Moo or Two - Robots

Well, here I am back to the "old ways".  Yup, these Moos were made for the Make a Moo or Two challenge that was posted March 4th.  I had started them and then my life took a crazy turn for "the busy" at work and I didn't have a chance to get them posted by the posting date.  However, when I dropped in to the site today to see what the new challenge was ... I was sad to see that there isn't any for a bit and that no one participated in the robot challenge!  That makes me sad :-(  !!!   I love making Moos!!  If you do too, please make sure you head over and give some love and encouragement!! 

This first stamped image is from the Robots set by Recollections sold at Michaels.  His is so cute!  I colored him in with Copics and then covered him with Glossy Accents to make him metallic looking! 

This second moo has almost no stamping, only the sentiment (from Mixed Messages, Papertrey Ink).  This paper made it easy to create a great moo!  I carefully cut a piece of scrap to make sure this orange robot was in just the spot I needed him.  Then, I colored him in with Copics and added the Glossy Accents!  Super Simple. 

I believe I will save these two scraplings to give to my wonderful son when he needs a little reminder of how wonderful he is!!

Make a Moo or Two - Romance

Okay, so I am falling back into my old habits!!  I had created these Moos for the Moo or Two challenge Romance but am just getting around to posting them now ... and the challenge is done.  But it is okay becuase they were fun to create  anyway. 

Started with a background made with Fire Brick red distress ink and maybe some Walnut Stain in there too (Ranger).  Stamped the word LOVE diagnally across the backgrounds (from Wedding Day, Papertrey Ink) and sponged around the edges.   Then, I cut out 2 hearts from vellum and sewed them to the moos with brown thread.  These will be added to my stuff bins ... and will be used ... eventually on cards :-)

The next challenge is up so I'm off to see what it is....

Travel Moos

So Carole over at Make a Moo or Two presented a new Moo challenge.  This time the theme is TRAVEL!  A friend of mine sold me this Fiskers travel clear stamp set for just a few dollars.  I knew it would be perfect for this challenge.  Some stamping and a little sponging was the ticket!

Another Silhouette Moo card

So here is the card I had invisioned when I started making my recent moos (see THIS previous post).  And this is why I made 3 instead of the more typical 2. 

The fiber is Jute and the sentiment is from Simple Little Things (Papertrey Ink Anniversary set).  All ink is Distress ink (Ranger).  I'm not sure what company the dark brown cardstock is from but if you look carefully (you can click on the pic to enlarge) you will see it is woodgrain embossed.  Love it as I do not own the Papertrey Ink woodgrain embossing plate.

2 Challenges - OLW36 and Silhouette Moo

I was blogging around and found out that the Make a moo or two challenge site is back up and running.  I love the idea of Moos.  If you've not heard of them, they are 1.25" x 2.75" sized cardstock.  You all know how much I love my inchies and scraplings.  Well here is another size option that is just fun to play with.

So, the latest Moo challenge is Silhouettes.  I set to work one morning this week before heading out to work to make these:

I ended up making 3 (usually it is a Moo or Two).  I did the 3rd because when I started I wasn't sure of where I wanted to place the trees so I was just playing around with a third placement. Turns out I love all 3.  I started sponging Antique Linen (Distress Ink, Ranger) over the entire moo, then stamped a piece of the tree images (from Through the Trees, Papertrey Ink) with Walnut Ink (Distress Ink, Ranger).  Then I used a piece of torn paper and sponged Spiced Marmalade (Distress Ink, Ranger) to make the sunset and sponged Walnut Stain around the edges. 

Then, I was blogging one other morning before work and saw that the One Layer Wednesday challenge (OLW 36) was to use naked trees.  Well, I knew sitting down on my craft table were 3 beautiful Moos that had naked trees on them!!  Took a few seconds to pull together this card.  Of course, it is not one layer so I am not actually putting it into the link.  I keep thinking of the OLW challenges as Clean and Simple!!  Sheesh, will I never remember LOL!!! 

I have an idea of what I want to do with all 3 images so I might make another moo and create the card I can see in my mind.  I'll post it here as soon as I get it done.

Deb Corder's Birthday Card!

You might have been over at Deb Corder's blog before, especially if you love vintage and collage.  She rocks at it!  And she is a super sweet person!!  So today is her birthday and a few of her friends decided to get together and surprise her with a birthday hop!!   So if you have arrived here from KELLY's blog you are on the right track.  If you have arrived her accendently, you will want to go to the start at JOANNA's blog.  For Deb's card, I wanted to create something she will appreciate. So, since her favorite color is green I decided to go with that combined with brown.  I found this "moo" (which is 1.5" x 3") that I had made a long time ago.  I thought it would be perfect for Deb's card as it was a bit on the collage side!  I added it to the alcohol inked background, did some sponging and added this rustic ribbon.  Some supplies: Stamps - Text Boxed (Papertrey Ink); Paper - glossy cardstock, Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi (Stampin' Up!); Other - vintage girl (freebie from somewhere a long time ago!), leaf cut from fabric in my scraps, buttons (Hero Arts I think), brown ribbon (Stampin' Up!), alcohol inks (Ranger), dimensionals.
