Opposites - Black and White

I made these a while ago and haven't gotten a chance to post them. They were a lot of fun to make. I stamped the image onto a transparency and then, when dry, covered the back with double sided tape. Then, I added white Pearl Ex powder and varios purple and blue glitters. The glitter is a bit hard to see but if you click on the picture it should get bigger and then you will see it better. Then I adheared one to a piece of black cardstock and the other to a piece of white cardstock. You can see how different it looks on either color!! The rest of the cards are straight forward! Supplies: Stamps - Small Things (smARTworks); Paper - Whisper White, Basic Black (Stampin' Up!); Ink - Basic Black, Versamark, (Stampin' Up!), Jet Black (StazOn); Other - double sided tape (Sookwang), transparency, white embossing powder, Pearl Ex (Stampin' Up!), glitter (Ritz), purple and blue gingham ribbons (Michaels). Alcohol Inked Butterfly

Isn't this background so pretty! The magic is in Alcohol Inks by Ranger! They are amazing!! For this background I used Lettuce, Meadow, and Caramel.
The butterfly is stamped onto cold laminate (like acetate only with a sticky side). Once it is dry, I added yellow and red Pearl Ex to the sticky side! It is really shimmery in person. Finally, I added some bling and the sentiment along the bottom of the card front and attached it all to the white card base.
Supplies: Stamp - Bliss (smARTworks); Ink-Jet Black (StazOn), various alcohol inks (Ranger); Paper-Glossy white, Whisper White (Stampin' Up!); Other-Pearl Ex (Stamin' Up!), cold laminate, rhinstones.
Thanks for dropping in for a visit!

Oldie but a Goodie

I made this a while ago. Although I've been working on lots of projects, I can't show any of them to you yet!

This card was fun to make. I started out using a piece of cold laminate (that is like a heavy transparency with one side sticky). and stamping the butterfly image on the non sticky side using StazOn. Then, after that dried, I took red, yellow and white Pearl Ex powders (Stampin' Up) and brushed them on the sticky side until there was no more stickiness left. I adheared this to a piece of white cardstock and then adheard that to a thin black mat. The rest of the card is pretty straight forward. The leaves are from Petal Prints (Stampin' Up) and stamped with Versamark on the Ruby Red cardstock. To cut the scallops, I drew a straight line with a pencil on the back of the cardstock and then used that as a guide while cutting. It's the only way I've been successful at getting the scallops straight. All other products used here are from Stampin' Up.
I hope to be able to load up some new projects soon.
Thanks for visiting.
