Black Pink and White Baby Card

A friend of mine had a beautiful baby girl!
We are having a baby shower for her so I wanted to make a special card to welcome the new baby.
A few months ago, my friend told me they were considering painting the baby's room in black, white and blue circles if it were a boy and black, white, and pink in flowers if it were a girl. Once I heard that, I went home and made this.
The flowers are stamped using white acrylic paint. Then, I stamped the pink polka dot centers using Hibuscus Burst (Papertrey Ink) onto white scrap cardstock, covered them with clear embossing powder, and punched them out with a 1/2" circle punch. The reset of the card if pretty straight forward!
Supplies: Stamps - Garden of Life, Beautiful Blooms, anniversary set (I can never remember the name of it) (all Papertrey Ink); Ink - Hibiscus Burst (Papertrey Ink), black; Paper - Whisper White, Basic Black (Stampin Up!), Hibiscus Burst (Papertrey Ink); Other - wide grosgrain ribbon (Papertrey Ink), whtie acrylic paint, 1/2" circle punch, oval and scallop oval dies (Nestabilities), dimensionals.
Thanks for dropping in.

Donelda, you're so BRAVE to use acrylic paint on stamps! I'm always afraid I'll forget to clean it off right away and ruin the stamp forever, LOL! Your black, white, and pink card is adorably sweet!

Stunning card with the white flowers against the black background and how fun to coordinate with the baby's room!

What a great, not-so-traditional baby's card! Love that it is inspired by the parents'plan for the baby's room. Did you use regular acrylic craft paint for the flowers?

Yes Lindsey, regular acrylic craft paint, I bought it at my local dollar store. You just have to work relatively quickly and then immediately wash your stamps with soap and water. I also have an old toothbrush I use to make sure I get all the paint out of the small crevices of my stamp. I get all my cleaning supplies ready before I start stamping with the paint so I can get it washed off right away!!

I'm not sure about painting a baby's room black. But you ended up with a GORGEOUS card!!
