Same Cards, Different Colors

I made this gift set a while ago. It was fun to make. I challenged myself to use the same stamps but different colors to make a gift set!! And check out those awesome Maya Road clear flowers beside each of the sentiments. I sponged some of the matching ink on them and let them dry! I think it looks so cool how the darker sentiment shows through behind them.
Supplies: Stamps- Beautiful Blossoms, Out ona Limb, Borders and Corders {rectangles}; Paper- Whisper White, Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, Groovy Guava, Blue Bayou (Stampin' Up!); Ink-Soft Sky, Lavender Lace, Groovy Guava, River Rock, Chocolate Chip, Purely Pomegranet, Wild Wasabi, Blue Bayou, Bordering Blue, Close to Cocoa (all Stampin Up!), Other - Scallop rectangles (my friend Robin lent me her Marvy Scallop punch last summer!), various buttons, clear flowers (Maya Road), hemp, sponge, double stitched ribbons (all Stampin' Up!).
Thanks for dropping in !!

October Blog Hop at Papertrey Ink

Oh no, I almost forgot the blog hop that Papertrey Ink hosts!!! I am very late uploading this....but here it is!! I found these awesome mugs and had plans to give them to my new team at work. Once the blog hop challenge was issued ... "to use polka dots"... I knew exactly what I was going to do!
Notice the steam coming out of the mug....well, I was so excited about it!! I have this cup from the Sketch an Event SU! set but it has a goofy heart shaped bit of steam coming out of the mug. I almost never use the stamp because of that!! When I got my hands on the stamp set called Remember by Papertrey Ink, there are some great swirls in it to go with the flowers in the set. Well, I saw those swirls and they made me think of yummy hot chocolate!! I added them to the tops of these cups and it is perfect!! (now, had I been able to order Heather's coffee cup set, I would have just been able to stamp!! Definately on my next order!!)
Supplies: Stamps - Polka Dot Basics, Remember, Text Boxed (all Papertrey Ink), Sketch an Event (Stampin' Up!) letters (Dollar Store); Paper-Kraft (Papertrey Ink), Wild Wasabi (Stampin' Up); Ink- Basic Black, Whisper White (Stampin' Up!), Other-linen vellum (Papertrey Ink), white embossing powder, kitchen string, black marker.
Off to see all the other creations!

I Love Polka Dots!

I do, I really love polka dots!! So, when I saw that Papertrey Ink was coming out with a whole set of Polka Dots, I knew I had to get it!! And I did.

I made this set using 2 of the sizes of Polka Dots. The little purse (on the left) is a template I found on bydonovon.com. It closes with a small bit of velcro and has that strap. The cards are pretty straight forward! I used some Maya Road clear flowers but to make them stand out I rubbed them with some Pomegranate ink before attaching them! Supplies: Cardstock-Kraft, Baisc Black (SU!), Ink-Pomegranate, Basic Black (SU!), Stamps-Polka Dots, Borders & Corners{square and oval}, Faux Ribbon, Beautiful Blossoms (all Papertrey Ink), Accessories-clear flowers (Maya Road), double stitched pomegranate ribbon (SU!), black marker (zig). I'll upload a few pics from our trip tonight to share. Thanks for visiting. Donelda

Butterfly Gift Set

I made this gift set for my son's teacher. She is going for brain surgery. I know that sounds scary but she really needs it and she sees it as a good thing!!
I figured that she would need some thank you cards because I know that she is going to receive lots of flowers and gifts while she recovers!
So I pulled together this set! 8 Thank You cards that are all the same with the exception of the color. The background paper is made using one of the flowers from the Text Boxed set (from Papertrey Ink). The little image is from the Borders & Corners {Oval} set. I drew the butterfly onto light cardstock and then traced it onto all the different colored cardstock and cut them out.
Well, I hope they are helpful to her! I know we will all miss her and wish her well and a speedy recovery!
Thanks for visiting.
